Our Values

The things we stand for, the things we hold dear and would not want to lose. These values are not rules, but are our essential building blocks. Our values are not just a majority vote on certain moral or doctrinal views. Our values are born out of our convictions about how we should live according to God’s word.

Our Foundational Value

Is that the Bible in it’s entirety is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and is the only acceptable standard for life, ministry and conduct in the Church (2 Tim 3 v 16,17). That in no way should we add to or subtract from the Bible but should in all areas – both on a personal and corporate level – build according to the Biblical Pattern as prescribed in the Word of God, in other words being Radically Word Based “The Bible plus nothing minus nothing” (Deut 4 v 1,2. Rev 22 v 18,19). Paul in Acts 20 v 27 says ” I have not hesitated to preach the whole counsel of God” We are committed to allowing this standard to direct our lives in order to see Gods truth established in our Lives, in our City and in the Nations of the Earth and thereby fulfilling the Great Commission of “Making Disciples of all Nations” according to Matthew ch 28 v 18 ~ 20.

Some of our core values for the life of our church include :

Winning Souls and Discipleship:

Evangelizing, caring for and growing individuals in Christ as we reach into our community and the nations with the gospel and dynamic of practical ministry. Thereby fulfilling the Great commission ( Matt 28 v 16 –20. Acts 14 v 21 – 28.). Evangelism is the responsibility of Every Believer and should be a part of life and just an occasion or event.

Prayer:

We acknowledge the total need for God and His Spirit in every area of our lives, therefore Prayer and Spiritual Warfare precedes all we do . (Jer 33 v3. Acts 1 v 14. Acts 2 v 42. Acts 4 v 24. 1Tim 2 v1,2. Col 3 v 12.).

The Priesthood of All Believers:

Through our friendships we function with a desire to empower and involve all the priesthood of believers (Ex 19 v 6. 1 Pet 2 v 9,10. Rev 1 v 5,6. 1Cor chapters 12,13,14). This is based on the truth that each believer is valuable and has a ministry prepared in advance by God (Eph. 2 v 10.)

Friendship before, during and after function:

Developing strong relationships are important to us. ~ (Jhn 15 v 15. 3 Jhn v 2,5,11,14.).

Family is important in all that we do:

We strive for the integration of all ages, races and cultures, walking and working together in a multi-generational and multi-faceted expression of all that God has intended for us and called us to.

Hospitality:

Living for the benefit of others –(Rom. 12 v 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 1 Pet.4v9.)

Heartfelt Worship:

We seek to worship God in all that we do, keeping Christ central and expressing our worship in diverse and creative ways. We believe that worship is a lifestyle and not just a Sunday activity.

The Gifts of the Spirit:

We “eagerly desire” (1 Cor 14 v 1) the Gifts of the Spirit to be manifest in and through our lives on an individual and corporate basis as we function as a Body under the Headship of Christ Jesus (Eph 4 v 15-16, 1 Cor 12, 13, 14. Romans 12.Gal 2 v 22-26). A people who are supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural. (Acts 2 v 17-21. Acts 3 v 1-10.).

Generosity:

We aim to resource all aspects of ministry as defined in Acts 1 v 8 with our finance, gifting and people. Our finances to resource the ministry are obtained through tithes (10% of your income) and offerings (Rom 13 v 8. Mal 3 v 8-12. 2 Cor ch 8 & 9).

“Preach the Gospel to all the world and if necessary use words” ~ St Francis of Assisi .

To Train and Equip ALL Believers in Leadership:

We are committed to raising up and releasing good Godly servant leaders who lead by lifestyle example (Ex 18 v 21 – 23.Eph 4 v 11-13.). Leaders who are always a part of the solution and never a part of the problem. (Phil 2 v 19-24. 1 Cor 4 v 17.).

To have an Apostolic Prophetic heart:

To be a people who truly embrace the Great Commission (Matt 28 v 18 – 20. Acts 1-8.) of going into all the world.
