This whole amazing journey started for all of us with a personal encounter with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We believe that God wants a relationship with all of us and that through speaking to God (prayer) and reading His word (the Bible) we can know Him and that He in turn can speak to us.
This journey starts with:
Our need for God’s Forgiveness
The Bible says that we all need to be saved from the consequences of a life-style which is contrary to God’s laws. No one is righteous and without sin. The very thing that separates us from God, and we are all guilty of breaking God’s law in some way. The bible says in Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.
Our Hope is in Jesus Christ
Salvation does not come by keeping laws or being good, but only through faith in Jesus Christ. We have all sinned but anyone who receives Jesus Christ can be forgiven and accepted by God as righteous. Romans 5:8 says “but God demonstrated His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners. Christ died for us.”
God’s Forgiveness is Available to ALL
God forgives and unconditionally accepts anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. There are no qualifications to accept Jesus Christ into your life. The invitation is to everyone just as the Bible says in John 3:16,17 “ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him”
What will your response be?
Be Born Again:
The scripture says that the way to salvation is to “confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” Romans 10 v 9. We want people who are totally committed to Jesus and to the mission of seeing His Kingdom come here on earth.
Be Baptised in Water
This does not mean to be “christened” as a baby or baptised as an adult – but baptised as a believer. This is the first step of obedience that Jesus commanded us to follow. It is a demonstration of repentance and of dying to the old life (Acts 2v38).
Be Baptised in The Holy Spirit
Acts 2 v 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off- (4) for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Be a Witness for Jesus
By living a lifestyle that brings Glory to God. Be willing and able to share the gospel (the good news) with the people you come into contact with on a daily basis. Trust God to send you to the nations on either a short term or long term basis.
Invite your friends to church.
Join in our Sunday celebrations:
This is an important time to get together. It is a time of worship, prayer, listening to the Word of God and sharing the gifts of the Spirit (Hebrews 10:25) encouraging and ministering to one another.
Combined Prayer time
This is a vital time for us as a church. Corporate prayer is time spent talking to God and hearing His voice for our local church and the needs of the nations and His people. Check out this link for more…
Tithes and Offerings
(Mal 3 v 6&7) Scripture is quite clear on tithing – one should give one tenth of all that one earns back to God, who gave it to us in the first place. (2 Cor. 9v7).Offering are our seed and are to be given over and above your tithe (2 Cor 9 v 6-10). Tithes and offerings are used to continue ministry. Go to our Giving page here.
Have good foundations
It is important to develop a firm understanding of those issues that are foundational to the Christian faith. These are described in Hebrews 6 v 1-2 as: repentance, faith in God, baptisms, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, eternal judgment.
