About Water Baptism
What does the word baptize (or baptism) mean?
It comes from the greek language and is used over 100 times in the New Testament. It means: To dip, immerse, or submerge.
What is the significance of water baptism?
Water baptism is an outward expression of an inner change that says to the world “I belong to Jesus.” Like a wedding ring, water baptism it is a symbol that celebrates the commitment and new life that that comes with receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
Who is it for?
Water baptism is for everyone who has personally received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Usually water baptism follows soon after making a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. The privilege of water baptism is not based on how “spiritual” we are, but on Jesus’ completed work of justification in our life.

What does water baptism picture?
According to Romans 6:3-5 water baptism in a visual display that associates us with the death (going into the water), burial (under the water), and resurrection (coming out of the water) of Jesus Christ.
How can I arrange to be baptized in water?
