It’s been quite the month!

We’ve been seeing God’s goodness at work in and through OCEANYouth as we settle into the rhythm of a new season.

At the beginning of October, we hosted our Parent and Youth BBQ! It was a wonderful opportunity for our youth, parents, and leaders to connect and build relationships over delicious hamburgers.

Later that evening, we enjoyed a lively game of Kahoot and worshipped together. Our leaders encouraged the youth to reflect on what it means to honour their parents, while parents discussed ways to raise their teens in a Christ-centred home and help them develop a deeper relationship with Jesus.



Throughout the rest of October, we’ve continued gathering for our weekly youth nights! The games get crazier every week, making for an entertaining time! Our youth band has also kicked off the season strong, leading us in worship and creating space for us to praise God together.

We’ve also been enjoying our small group time, filled with plenty of laughs, snacks, and opportunities to encourage and point each other to Jesus.

We are excited for what lies ahead and remain expectant, trusting that God is at work in OCEANYouth and has lots in store for us!

Recap & What’s Next: OceanYouth
Last week, we kicked off a new year of OceanYouth! It was so much fun to see a mix of familiar and new faces come together for a night of pizza, inflatables, worship, games, and a look at what’s ahead. We’re excited and expectant for all that God has in store! As we begin this year of walking alongside teenagers, one phrase comes to mind: “It takes a village to raise a child.” At OceanYouth, we believe that village really matters, especially during the teenage years. When parents, youth, and leaders come together, we can better equip and encourage teenagers as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. Coming up: Parent & Youth BBQ Join us for a night together with your teenager! We’ll have a BBQ, games, an opportunity to meet our youth leaders, and a chance to hear from Lee. Most importantly, we’d love the opportunity to get to know you and partner with you as your teenager grows in their relationship with Jesus. We can’t wait to see you there!
