In this message we continue in the Desiring the Holy Spirit series with a clear call to understand one of the Holy Spirit’s purposes: the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
When the Holy Spirit moves, He doesn’t simply bring comfort, He brings commission. The Spirit empowers believers with boldness, direction, and courage to carry out Jesus’ prayer:
“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
Through passages like Acts 4:29–31, Acts 13:2–4, and Romans 8:13–14, we see that the Holy Spirit fills not just to bless us, but to send us. This sermon challenges every follower of Jesus to trade comfort for calling, and to desire the Holy Spirit not for personal gain, but for Kingdom purpose.
